Energy Services

Project-Image

Energy Management promotes renewable clean energy use of water, natural gas, and power resources by Riverside County through the use of technology, innovations, and renewable energy systems.

  • Energy Management uses EnergyCAP software to audit county utility bills for accuracy, identify maintenance issues, and monitor energy conservation efforts.
  • To address the non-discretionary increases in utility costs, the division partners with the Maintenance Services Division to modify building equipment operations and shift energy use away from peak hours.
  • Energy Management staff research and apply for competitive grant opportunities to expand energy conservation initiatives at County facilities. A recent example is the use of grant funds for the installation of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations.
  • The division monitors solar generation at the county’s solar sites, and tracks solar savings opportunities.
